Young-friendly small and medium-sized companies GAONCHIPS, Brain Cola and Korea Research are leading the trend of flexible work. By introducing a flexible work system, the company is focusing attention on the job market, focusing on the MZ generation (millennial+Z generation) by enhancing the leadership of its employees and ensuring work-life balance.

Reflecting the wishes of young people, the Ministry of Employment and Labor selected 1,214 youth-friendly small and medium-sized companies in 2022 in three areas: wages, work-life balance and job security, and announced them on the 20th.

GAONCHIPS, a design house in the field of system semiconductors that was listed as a youth-friendly powerhouse next year, is free to commute. Actively utilize the telecommuting system and the flexible work system. As commuting time is not fixed, there is a joke that morning and afternoon classes are divided between executives and employees. The third Wednesday of each month, free to use annual leave, operates Family Day, which leaves work at 16 p.m., and provides refreshment leave separately from the annual leave after the end of the assignment.

BrainCola, a content-based AI solution developer, operates a time-lapse commute system. You can set the time you want to go to work on a 30-minute basis between 8 and 11. The employees can schedule their work according to their own lifestyle and perform their duties.

Korea Research, a company specializing in marketing and public opinion surveys, has implemented an optional working hours system since this year to realize the work initiative and work-life balance that the MZ generation aims for. It also expanded its in-house communication channel to create a good job for the MZ generation to work in.

Companies selected as youth-friendly small and medium-sized companies will receive a variety of benefits, including customized recruitment support services (hiring centers by Worknet theme), preferential treatment for financial and tax audits, and additional points when designating special military service companies. From next year's youth-friendly small and medium-sized companies, preferential benefits will also be given when leasing public property.

Kwon Chang-joon, a youth employment policy officer at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, said, "We hope that young people will use excellent corporate information to help them get a job. We will continue to improve the selection, support, and promotion of youth-friendly small and medium-sized companies so that they can become companies that actually young people want to go."
